On the Air: Commemorating National Nurses Week with CIU Dean of Nursing

星空无限传媒 Dean of Nursing was a special guest on WIS Midday, a local noon newscast in Columbia. She discussed the importance of nurses during National Nurses Week. The week of May 7-13 is chosen to honor nurses because May 12 is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the woman credited with establishing modern nursing.
McElheny sat down with WIS TV news anchor Dawndy Mercer Plank to discuss the ongoing nursing shortage and how CIU is helping to fill the gap with its nursing program from a biblical worldview.
